Arrowhead West, Inc.’s Community Integrated Employment Services (CIE) program benefits both employees and employers by assisting individuals with disabilities to obtain and keep jobs in the community, while at the same time offering reliable and qualified employees to area businesses. The CIE staff is committed to helping promote success in the workplace. Experienced job development professionals work closely with employers to identify jobs, screen, and place job applicants. There are three levels of employment services offered at Arrowhead West, Inc.
Supported Employment
Dedicated staff will help clients explore career goals and empower them to achieve those goals. They will work towards helping them obtain employment that best matches their personal interests and skills. A job development plan will be created with them and their vocational team. This plan will identify employment goals, objectives, and individual responsibilities to achieve their goals. Other services include the development of a master job application, resume building, job search log, interview training, and prospective employment tours. Staff provides ongoing support to persons with disabilities for whom integrated employment has not traditionally occurred to enable them to maintain employment in community work settings. This service is individualized support one-on-one with our employment staff geared to prepare them for job development and placement. Instruction and training on workplace social skills, interviewing, and success on the job are just a few of the subjects covered with this service. It is geared to give clients the tools needed to achieve success in the workplace.

After employment is obtained, Arrowhead West, Inc. can provide a qualified Job Coach, per the individual’s needs, to monitor progress, establish natural supports, provide needed assistance and instruction, work with the vocational team, act as a consultant to the employer and co-workers, provide sensitivity training, and share information about the role of the job coach to ensure successful employment.
