AWI provides support services to children and adults with developmental disabilities.

Today AWI has a service area of 14 counties in Kansas; Barber, Clark, Comanche, Edwards, Ford, Gray, Harper, Hodgeman, Kingman, Kiowa, Meade, Ness, Pratt and Sedgwick.  To find out if you qualify for services go to Admissions.

AWI Child Service program staff provides a variety of services to children ages birth to age three (3).  Assessment Services provide information to the family and referral source which can help with future programming decisions. Infant-Toddler Intervention Service helps parents enhance their child’s development, encourage normal developmental patterns and aid in transition to other programs, if needed. Some of these services are: physical therapy, speech therapy, and transitional services to school, audio logical screening, and a resource library that is open to parents.
